Hyderabad: A complaint has been filed before the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) commissioner, alleging the encroachment of public park land and unlawful occupation of plot owners’ properties at Springfield Enclave in Kandlakoya village, Medchal-Malkajgiri district.According to the complaint filed by Mettu Surya Prakash, promotional brochures represented the layout as having been approved by the then competent authority, the Hyderabad Urban Development Authority (HUDA), and 261 plots were subsequently sold to individual purchasers. The layout, which was developed by Shanta Sriram Estates, earmarked two to three public parks, measuring about two acres in aggregate. The complaint states that the park land is govt property and is now being encroached upon. Mettu Surya Prakash claims to have remained in peaceful possession of his plot for more than two decades. He alleges that, while he was preparing to construct a residence, unauthorised temporary structures were erected around his plot without permission from the competent authority. He further alleges attempts to encroach upon his property, accompanied by intimidation and threats. He has urged HYDRAA and the authorities concerned to examine the layout approvals, land records, registrations and alleged encroachments. He has also sought the removal of any unauthorised structures or encroachments established during the inquiry, protection of the land earmarked as public parks, and safeguarding of the lawful rights and properties of individual plot owners.
