KOLKATA: Trinamool Congress (TMC) MLA Kunal Ghosh has alleged that his home, club and party office were attacked and vandalised on Wednesday evening, claiming that the attackers were deliberately sent to target him.Ghosh said he was away at the time of the incident and was at ABP Ananda when the alleged attack took place.In a post on social media, Ghosh alleged that people from outside the area were sent to carry out the vandalism at his premises. He said eyewitnesses told him that those involved were not from the locality and fled after the incident.Ghosh also alleged that three people whom he referred to as “traitors” were behind the attack.He appeared to link the alleged incident to a social media post he had made a few days earlier, claiming that attempts were being made to silence him.The TMC MLA later called for the immediate identification and arrest of those responsible for the alleged attack.He also urged police to investigate whether some individuals had been brought from Ward 57 and allegedly paid to carry out the attack.Ghosh further referred to a person named “Gabbbar” and asked police to gather information about his alleged role in the incident. He also called for action against those who allegedly masterminded the attack.The MLA said his team was conducting its own investigation and urged the police to take the matter seriously. He warned that failure to act could raise questions about whether the alleged incidents were taking place with police support.
