Pune: A four-year-old girl was playing inside a residential society in Bhosari, where her father works as a security guard, when a car hit and injured her grievously on Friday. The Bhosari MIDC police registered a case against the driver for negligent driving on Monday on her father’s complaint.She suffered injuries to her waist and was discharged from a private hospital she was admitted to on Sunday after treatment, police said.An officer said the accident occurred around 10pm when her father had gone to the terrace for some work. “The driver didn’t notice the girl and hit her while driving out of the society. The girl was taken to a nearby hospital and later shifted to a private hospital for treatment,” the officer said.He said the driver, employed with a private company, said the car hit her before he could apply the brakes. “We have issued him a notice. Our investigation is on,” he said.
