Jaipur: Govt school teachers’ associations in the state have written to the education department seeking clarity about posting of teachers who had submitted grievances after they were transferred. After the recent transfers, the state education department had sought requests from those who were dissatisfied with their transfers. The department had said that these requests would be resolved by July 30; however, many teachers are still waiting.The transferred teachers mostly include Grade-II and lecturers who teach students class 9 and above. After transfers, the teachers were relieved from their existing posts and due to the requests pending with the department, many have not joined the new postings either, affecting classroom education in govt schools.State president of Rajasthan Primary and Secondary Teachers Association, Vipin Sharma, said that grievance resolution order states that if a staff member has already assumed duty at the newly assigned location pursuant to the earlier order, the new order shall not apply.“Delays in grievance redressal are preventing not only teachers awaiting transfer but also newly appointed Grade-II teachers and promoted lecturers from joining their schools. Therefore, these cases should be resolved quickly, and postings should be issued to the newly appointed senior teachers and promoted lecturers for the remaining vacancies so that classroom teaching can proceed smoothly,” said Sharma.
