New Delhi: A 30-year-old man was allegedly stabbed during an altercation over his brother having borrowed Rs 700, late Sunday night in northwest Delhi’s Begumpur. Three people, including the man who had lent the money, have been arrested.The deceased, Mukesh Yadav, a resident of Bharat Vihar, was allegedly stabbed on the road between Bharat Vihar and Pansali in Sector 33, Rohini. Police received a PCR call from Aggarsain Hospital after the incident and found that Yadav had suffered a stab injury to his right shoulder. He was critical and declared unfit to give a statement. He was subsequently referred to AIIMS Trauma Centre, where he died at 2.18 am Monday.Satish had borrowed Rs 700 from Sachin, a 29-year-old e-rickshaw driver, and had not repaid the money despite repeated demands police said. Sunday night, Sachin allegedly confronted Satish and demanded repayment. Mukesh intervened after hearing the argument, following which an altercation broke out, and Sachin stabbed him.A case was registered for murder, voluntarily causing hurt and wrongful restraint, as under BNS. “The movements of the suspects were reconstructed through local enquiries, technical surveillance and witness examination,” said DCP (Rohini) Shashank Jaiswal.Sachin was previously involved in 10 theft cases, police said. The other two accused were identified as Pankaj, 23, an e-rickshaw driver, and Abhishek, 22, an auto driver. The three were apprehended from different hotels and lodges, police said. The knife allegedly used in the crime was seized.
