Jaipur: Jaipur’s promising tennis player Soumya Choudhary bagged a triple crown in the AITA All India Ranking Championship Series Tennis tournament held recently here at the Dream House Tennis Academy.Soumya dominated the singles category by winning both the U-14 girls and U-16 titles. Proving her versatility, she also won the U-16 doubles title.In the U-14 singles final, Soumya defeated her Rajasthan counterpart Anusha Sharma 6-2, 6-2 to claim the title, while in the U-16 singles too, she ousted the same opponent 6-1, 6-1.Teaming up with Anusha, Soumya grabbed the U-16 girls doubles title also beating Srushti Kumawat and Tejasvi Yadav 6-2, 6-3.Earlier in the semi-finals, Soumya thumped Maharashtra’s Adhya Jha in the U-14 section, while she got the better of Sukriti Shree of Tamil Nadu in the U-16 group.Tournament director Sumit Gupta, coach Harsh Prajapati, Pradeep and Vandana congratulated Soumya for her outstanding performance.
