Rajkot: Rajkot Taluka police have booked a Surat-based woman, her son and unidentified accomplices for allegedly forging documents related to a plot worth Rs 3.17 crore, using the fabricated papers in court and attempting to sell the land.The FIR was lodged on Friday following a complaint by 42-year-old lawyer Pintu Pansara.According to the FIR, Pansara and his business partner purchased a 2,915-sq-metre non-agricultural plot in Sayan village of Surat’s Olpad taluka in 2018 through a registered sale deed. The transaction was valued at around Rs 3.17 crore.Pansara alleged that the accused somehow managed to steal the original sale deed from his office and subsequently conspired to create a fraudulent agreement purportedly showing a transaction involving the property. The signatures of the complainant and other parties were allegedly forged on the document.The complainant said he became aware of the alleged fraud in May 2025, when he received a phone call from a woman regarding the plot and its documents.Subsequent inquiries and legal proceedings allegedly revealed that the disputed agreement had been produced before a court in Olpad.The FIR further alleges that the accused prepared a layout on the land, carved it into smaller plots and attempted to sell them using fabricated documents. The complainant also alleged that false statements regarding the purported transaction were made during court proceedings.
