Edu dept begins drive to ensure no student remains out of school
State govt has begun Rajasthan Shiksha Setu Abhiyan to ensure that no student remains out of school this year

Jaipur: The state govt has begun Rajasthan Shiksha Setu Abhiyan to ensure that no student remains out of school this year, even as the official enrolment drive was completed on July 25. The campaign will run in two phases: the first one from July 26 till Aug 15 and the second from Aug 16 till Sept 30. As part of the campaign, every teacher will have to enrol one student who has never been enrolled in any school. Every school principal will map his/her areas to identify such students, after which teachers will ensure the students are admitted to schools. “This is not merely an administrative duty but also a social responsibility,” said a senior official.Officials said special attention will be paid to girls, children with special needs, migrant children, child labourers, tribal children, children from nomadic communities, and children from other vulnerable sections of the society. Additional chief secretary for school education, Rajesh Yadav, said, “.Every principal will assign the responsibility of one child to each teacher; the teacher will then contact the child’s family to ensure enrollment and upload the details on the Shala Darpan portal. Progress at district level will be reviewed by the district collector, and every enrolment will be monitored via a dashboard.”If no child (boy or girl) is found within the school’s catchment area—including the village and its hamlets—the principal will have to submit a certificate to this effect to chief block education officer (CBEO). Officials said that the block office will compile this information and forward it to chief district education officer (CDEO).Further, if any child within the school’s catchment area (village and hamlets) is deprived of education but cannot be enrolled in school for certain reasons, the institution head will have to submit the child’s details to CBEO, which will then be sent to CDEO.GFX –
