Pune: A 25-year-old woman was killed after a minibus hit her scooter from behind at Yamunanagar in Nigdi on Tuesday afternoon. She was on her way to work when the accident occurred.Nigdi police identified the deceased as Shraddha Rajaram Mane, a resident of Nigdi and a native of Karad taluka in Satara district. She had completed her MSc and was working at a private research firm in Nigdi. A case has been registered against the minibus driver for causing death by negligence.A police officer said, “At around 12.30pm on Tuesday, Mane was riding her scooter towards her workplace when a minibus rammed into the rear of her vehicle. She fell onto the road and suffered severe head injuries. She was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared her dead.”
