Ahmedabad: The Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) has announced a fifth online round for degree engineering admissions after 444 seats remained vacant in govt and grant-in-aid colleges across Gujarat. The ACPC published branch-wise vacancy lists on its official website on Wednesday. Candidates must submit their online consent by Aug 6 to participate.Seat allotments will be declared on Aug 7, and candidates must confirm their seats by paying fees between Aug 7 and 10. The extra round aligns with the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) mandate requiring all engineering admissions to close by Aug 14.The admission process was initially wrapped up on July 28 following three online rounds, after which vacant seats in self-financed institutes were handed over to respective colleges for direct filling. A fourth round was subsequently held exclusively for govt and grant-in-aid colleges to mop up remaining vacancies. However, around 444 seats remain unfilled in top institutes, including L D College of Engineering, and other govt-run institutions after several students opted for seats elsewhere or failed to confirm their allotments.
