Thousands of devotees gathered at Secunderabad’s Sri Ujjaini Mahankali Temple on Sunday as the Bonalu procession unfolded in a colourful display of faith and tradition. Joining the devotees were several celebrities, political leaders and dignitaries, who took part in the celebrations and offered prayers at the temple. The air echoed with drum beats and chants as devotees carrying decorated Bonams and Potharajus in ceremonial attire brought the streets alive with festive fervour.
