Ahmedabad: The Admission Committee for Professional Nursing and Allied Medical Educational Courses (GPNAMEC) has extended the registration and document verification schedule for the 2026-27 academic year in view of heavy rainfall across several parts of Gujarat.The online registration process for courses including BSc Nursing, Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT), General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM), Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery (ANM), Bachelor of Optometry (BOP), Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (BOT), Orthotics and Prosthetics, BASLP and BNYS was originally scheduled to end on July 23. However, adverse weather conditions prevented many candidates from reaching help centres for document verification.To facilitate affected students, the committee extended the deadline for application submission and document verification at help centres from July 29, 10am, to Aug 1, noon.According to the latest data released by the committee, 37,721 PINs were purchased, while 37,267 candidates completed registration. Of these, 35,651 candidates successfully verified their documents, including 210 verifications completed on Aug 1.The committee also announced seat availability, with 1,165 seats in govt institutions and 56,754 seats in self-financed institutes across various nursing and allied medical courses.Candidates have been advised to regularly check the official website, www.medadmgujarat.org, for updates.
