Hyderabad: Chief minister A Revanth Reddy on Friday invited representatives of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) northern regional council to invest in Telangana, highlighting the state as a safe destination for investments across various sectors.The CM assured them that the state govt would act as a safeguard for investments. The CII northern regional council representatives met the CM at his camp office on the MCR HRD Institute campus.Speaking on the occasion, Revanth said Telangana’s industrial policies remained unchanged despite changes in govt. While continuing the good policies of previous govts, the incumbent govt was also introducing new policies.“There is no policy paralysis in the state. Regardless of the leader or the party, any beneficial policy introduced is carried forward. The govt is attracting investments through its industrial policies and providing incentives to those who come forward with promising proposals,” he said.The CM expressed his aspiration to see all Fortune 500 companies invest in “Bharat Future City”. He explained that a global summit was held at Bharat Future City last Dec, attended by representatives from 175 countries. The “Telangana Rising-2047” policy was announced during the summit. Telangana currently contributes 5% to the national GDP, and his goal is to increase this share to 10%.Noting that cities such as Delhi (pollution), Mumbai (rains), Bengaluru (traffic congestion) and Chennai (natural disasters) were grappling with various challenges, the CM explained the concept of dividing the state into three zones: CURE (service sector), PURE (manufacturing sector) and RARE (agriculture and agro-based industries).He assured that the govt would provide the required land and infrastructure for setting up industries in the ‘PURE’ and ‘RARE’ zones. He also outlined plans to construct a 12-lane highway connecting Bharat Future City to Machilipatnam Port and establish sector-specific industrial clusters.Revanth said the Centre had granted approval for the construction of airports in Warangal and Adilabad, and that three bullet trains had been allocated to Telangana, connecting Shamshabad with Chennai, Pune and Bengaluru.He assured entrepreneurs that the govt would provide all necessary facilities. The CM outlined a support mechanism under which the chief secretary would be available at all times, while the Industries minister and the CM himself would be accessible every two months and three months, respectively, to resolve issues. He urged CII representatives to consider Telangana their own home region.He said 200 companies had come forward to invest, with Amazon investing ₹1 lakh crore and Adani ₹35,000 crore in data centres.“We chose Hyderabad for this meeting because of its superior infrastructure and the govt’s active support and cooperation. We have come here to study the ecosystem,” said Puneet Kaura, chairperson, CII northern region, according to the CMO.
