Teen stabbed to death by 10 over social media feud

New Delhi: Two separate murders by stabbing were reported in different parts of the city. Seven people have been arrested and four minors have been apprehended.An 18-year-old boy was allegedly stabbed to death by around 10 people after a heated altercation broke out due to a social media feud in outer Delhi’s Paschim Vihar Wednesday evening. The deceased has been identified as Kartik, a resident of Paschim Vihar. Police have nabbed eight people — including four minors and four adults.According to police, a PCR call was received about the incident around 9.30 pm. Kartik was found with stab injuries and rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead on arrival.Investigation revealed that Kartik and his friends were known to a group in a nearby locality and had reportedly gotten into a social media feud with them in the comment section of a post. Kartik and his group went to meet with them when a heated altercation ensued.In a separate incident, a 17-year-old boy was allegedly assaulted and stabbed to death in northeast Delhi’s Kardampuri Tuesday night. The deceased has been identified as Intzar, a resident of Kardampuri.Two accused, namely Arman and Alfaiz, were arrested by the crime branch. They told the cops that they had an old rivalry with the victim and had gotten into an altercation with him around three to four days back. The third accused, Aman Khan, was also arrested by district police.
