Mumbai: A petty fight over cricket match led to stabbing of a 27-year old man in Surya Nagar, Vikhroli on Wednesday night. The Vikhroli police have registered an attempt to murder case against the accused and are looking for him. According to the police, the incident took place on Tuesday at around 9:30pm at Garage lane, when the victim, who had just returned from work, was parking his two-wheeler.The accused, Harshad Palpinkar, Aditya Sasane and Rajesh Devar, confronted the victim about an argument that had taken place during a cricket match in February. When the victim said he had forgotten the matter, the trio allegedly abused and physically assaulted him.The main accused reportedly stabbed the victim several times with a knife on the thigh, head, chest and stomach, while the other two held him and assaulted him with kicks and punches. The victim managed to flee and was taken to Rajawadi Hospital by a friend for treatment.
