Abyro Capital, T-Hub to launch Beacon to fund, mentor Indian SpaceTech startups

Hyderabad: Abyro Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm focused on deep technology, has joined hands with Telangana govt-run T-Hub to roll out Beacon, a flagship platform to identify, invest in and accelerate SpaceTech startups, ahead of its official launch on Aug 3.The programme will offer selected startups an initial investment of $500,000, access to follow-on capital, strategic mentorship from leading Indian SpaceTech founders and industry veterans, and global market opportunities.Applications for the first cohort will open on Aug 3 and close on Aug 21, with final results scheduled for Sept 30. Five startups will be selected, each receiving the committed capital on the first day.The selected companies will undergo an eight-week acceleration programme covering technical validation, market readiness, product showcases, access to strategic customers and partners, and continued fundraising support. The programme is aimed at founders building technologies at Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) 2 to 4.Abyro Capital said the platform is designed to address the gap between advanced space technology and early-stage institutional capital as India’s private space sector expands.“India has the talent, the technology and the policy momentum to build globally significant space companies,” said Vamsi Kora, founder and managing partner, Abyro Capital. “Beacon is our commitment to building one such platform,” he added.A council of advisors and founder mentors, comprising space industry veterans, deep-tech entrepreneurs and ecosystem leaders, will support the cohort. T-Hub will act as an ecosystem partner, offering access to its innovation platform, startup network and industry connections throughout the programme. The initiative targets globally scalable ventures.
