Hyderabad: Two minors were killed and another sustained injuries after the bike they were riding was hit by a speeding tipper in Kukatpally during the early hours of Sunday. The three teenagers were on their way to Madhapur to play cricket.According to Kukatpally inspector D Swamy Goud, the deceased were identified as B Mahesh (17) and M Laxmi Teja (17), while P Kiran Kumar (17) survived with injuries. All three were residents of Brahmashankar Nagar in Yousufguda and were studying Intermediate second year in two different private colleges.Police said the boys left their homes around 4 am after informing their parents that they were heading to Madhapur to play an early morning cricket match.

They took the highway via Moosapet, planning to stop for tea at KPHB on the way. Police said the boys had planned the outing as it was a Sunday.At around 4.55 am, near pillar number 796 in Kukatpally, a tipper truck allegedly rammed into their bike from behind at high speed. Kiran, who was driving the bike, fell onto the right side of the road, while Mahesh and Teja were thrown to the left.“Mahesh and Teja were flung into the air before falling onto the road. Mahesh suffered severe head and chest injuries and died on the spot, while the tipper ran over Teja, crushing him to death,” Mahesh’s father stated in his complaint to the police.The tipper driver fled the scene immediately after the accident.Inspector Swamy Goud said that: “One of the boys’ grandmothers lives in Kukatpally, and they had planned to stop there to charge their mobile phones before proceeding to Madhapur. They also intended to have tea at KPHB when the accident occurred.”Police have registered a case against the unidentified tipper driver under Section 106 (negligence causing death) of BNS. Investigators are also verifying whether Kiran had informed his parents before taking the bike.
