Chandigarh: Punjab BJP president Sunil Jakhar on Thursday criticised the AAP-led govt over power cuts, questioning the timing of maintenance work during peak summer. In a post on X, Jakhar said electricity was being shut down across the state in the name of infrastructure maintenance and asked why such work was not carried out in Feb or March. He also flagged the absence of a regular chairman in the power corporation, asking who was taking key decisions. Jakhar said despite availability of cheaper solar power during the day, supply remained affected. He claimed the outages were impacting daily life, businesses and industry, and took a swipe at chief minister Bhagwant Mann, who is currently on a foreign visit.
