Hyderabad: Hyderabad police recorded the statement of the woman trainee IPS officer in the sexual harassment case registered at Attapur police station on July 17. The statement of the accused trainee officer is yet to be recorded.City police commissioner VC Sajjanar has entrusted the investigation to women safety wing and on Wednesday, a team comprising a woman inspector under the supervision of DCP (She Teams and Bharosa) P Lavanya Naik Jadav, went to SVP National Police Academy and recorded the statement of the complainant.The team also sought details related to the investigation of the case from the SVPNPA authorities, including the internal complaints committee (ICC) report. Based on the information received from the academy, investigators are likely to record statements of the witnesses from the academy. “We are collecting evidence and the statement of the accused will also be recorded soon,” said a senior police officer.According to police, the accused trainee officer, who was hospitalised after the registration of the case, is currently with his family. The complainant alleged that the accused trainee IPS officer has harassed and intimidated her for over two months.
