Lucknow: A district court in Shravasti has sentenced a man and his two sons to life imprisonment for the murder of their neighbour in a land dispute that occurred in 2020.District and Sessions Judge Dinesh Chand convicted Baburam and his sons, Rajit Ram and Rajendra, residents of Parshurampur village under the Bhinga Kotwali area, and imposed a fine of ₹20,000 on each. The court ordered that each convict would serve an additional three months in jail if the fine is not paid.According to the prosecution, the incident took place on April 24, 2020, after complainant Bhola alleged that the three accused tried to remove the foundation of his house and fix a wooden post on the disputed plot. Bhola’s father, Nange, objected and asked them to stop the construction work. The accused allegedly attacked him with lathis, clubs and a spear, causing serious injuries.Nange was taken by ambulance to the Joint District Hospital in Bhinga, where doctors declared him brought dead. Police registered an FIR under murder and related sections. The then station house officer, Daddan Singh, investigated the case and later filed a chargesheet .The court delivered the sentence after examining evidence and hearing arguments from both sides, ending a six-year trial.
