New Delhi: AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday visited RML Hospital, Mandir Marg and Parliament Street police stations, and later addressed protesting students at Jantar Mantar. He said AAP had secured the release of 70-80 people detained after Monday’s protests.Accompanied by Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, Delhi leader of opposition Atishi and others, Kejriwal met injured students at RML. He said one injured girl was in the ICU. Others had been discharged.Targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Kejriwal said: “PM Narendra Modi says these children are terrorists. I want to tell PM Modi that the biggest terrorist is Narendra Modi. He says these children are anti-national. I want to tell PM Modi that the biggest anti-national is Narendra Modi. These children are the future of this country. You have ruined this country over the last 12 years. You cannot even conduct a single NEET examination properly. How will you run the country?”The former Delhi chief minister demanded Modi’s resignation. He said AAP would arrange for lawyers and get all the protesting students against whom cases are filed released. “PM Modi also sent me to jail in a false case. I came out…. Do not break. Do not be afraid,” Kejriwal said as a message to the students. AAP also announced a legal assistance helpline for them.Delhi BJP president Harsh Malhotra condemned Kejriwal for referring to Modi as a “terrorist” and demanded that Kejriwal issue an apology to the country and Modi. “The remark is not only unparliamentary but also a direct insult to the self-respect of 1.4 billion Indians. A person like Arvind Kejriwal…, has no moral standing to use such language against the Prime Minister of the country. His remarks reflect his political frustration, moral decline, and desperation over losing power in Delhi,” Malhotra said.
