Udaipur: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Monday caught Junior Specialist (Surgery) Dr. Pankaj Jain of RK Govt District Hospital in Rajsamand red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 1,300.According to ACB ASP Himmat Singh Charan, the doctor demanded a bribe of Rs 2,000 for performing a minor operation on a boil near the complainant’s eye ahead of other patients. Later, both parties agreed on Rs 1,800. After receiving the complaint, the ACB verified the complaint. During verification, the complainant first gave Rs 500 to the doctor.The ACB team took action and caught Dr. Pankaj Jain red-handed as soon as the remaining Rs 1,300 was handed over. The team also recovered the Rs 500 given during verification. The ACB team is questioning the accused doctor. Further investigation in on, and other aspects related to bribery are also being probed.
