Dhubri: Police seized 600 Yaba tablets during a raid on NS Road in Dhubri on Thursday night and arrested four persons in connection with the seizure.A joint team of the District Crime Unit and Dhubri Police made the arrests during a raid at a house in Dhubri.The accused were identified as Noor Khan of NS Road, Dhubri; Saiful Islam of Birsing Char Part-II; Jahangir Alom of Ward 12, Gauripur Town; and Monisur Islam of Ward 12, Gauripur.Police said the seized Yaba tablets weighed about 66g. A bottle of cough syrup, three mobile phones and two motorcycles were also seized.A case was registered under the provisions of the NDPS Act.Dhubri Sadar police station OC Pritam Das told TOI that police have adopted a zero-tolerance policy against drug peddlers. “We will intensify operations against drug peddlers in the days to come,” Das added.
