Enumerators conduct a population census survey in a residential neighborhood in Tamil Nadu, India, documenting household data for official demographic records.
Chennai: Governor R V Arlekar and chief minister C Joseph Vijay urged the public on Friday to actively participate in the population census exercise.Vijay said he had completed the self enumeration exercise and posted a video clip of him filling up the details online. In an accompanying message he said, “The population census is vital for implementing our state’s future development plans. This is not just a numerical exercise. The information provided by the people will form the basis for all govt schemes and planning.”
