Pune: The Dehu Road police on Tuesday arrested a 20-year-old man for allegedly stabbing his elder brother to death following a quarrel at their rented room in Dehugaon.The deceased was identified as Vinayak Kudale (24), while the accused, Ghanshyam Kudale, has been booked under Section 103 (murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.Inspector Jagannath Jankar said Vinayak worked as a delivery executive for a quick-commerce company, while Ghanshyam was employed with a private firm. The brothers, natives of Kolhapur district, lived with two other men in a rented room.“Vinayak had borrowed money from several people. As he failed to repay the loans, creditors would visit their room and demand payment from Ghanshyam, leading to frequent arguments between the siblings”, Jankar said.Around 5am on Tuesday, another argument broke out over the issue. In a fit of rage, Ghanshyam allegedly stabbed Vinayak with a kitchen knife. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital but was declared dead. Further investigation is underway.
