Hyderabad: The next cabinet meeting is likely to be held on Friday, July 17 with a discussion on various irrigation projects and their revised estimates being listed on the preliminary agenda.The meeting, to be chaired by the chief minister, will ratify some of the decisions taken in the cabinet meeting on July 2, and later focus on the proposed cost escalation in the project components of the Palamuru Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme (PRLIS) and also the J Chokka Rao Devadula lift irrigation project.Deputy chief minister Bhatti Vikramarka and irrigation minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy have already held a meeting with the CM on inclusion of irrigation projects in the cabinet agenda.The opposition’s demand to lift Godavari river water from Kannepalli pump house of the Kaleshwaram project is also expected to come up for discussion and a decision on how to effectively counter the opposition onslaught will also be taken, sources said.
