Jaipur: Chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma Saturday laid foundation stones and inaugurated development projects worth around Rs 880 crore in Kekri of Ajmer district, including the Phase-I four-laning of the Nasirabad-Sarwar-Kekri-Deoli Road. He said the govt was accelerating infrastructure development to improve connectivity and public amenities.Addressing a public meeting, Sharma said the state govt developed nearly 49,000 km of roads across Rajasthan over the past two-and-a-half years at a cost of more than Rs 33,000 crore, including around 18,000 km of new roads. He added that under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, more than 3,000 km of roads were upgraded, strengthened and renovated to improve rural connectivity.Among the major projects for which foundation stones were laid was the Phase-I four-laning of the Nasirabad-Sarwar-Kekri-Deoli Road. Sharma also laid foundation stones for the Singawal-Gopalpura-Bhinai-Tantoti Road, Dabrela MDR Road, and strengthening and widening of roads connecting Kerot, Jaitpura, Chanwaria, Padaliya, Nagol, Badla, Raghunathgarh, Ramaliya, Tantoti, Kebania and Bhatiyani.Sharma also laid foundation stones for cement concrete roads in various wards of Kekri Municipality, additional classrooms in schools across the area and inaugurated the Govt Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy Integrated College building in the Kekri region.
