Chandigarh: Chandigarh received 46.1 mm of rainfall in the 24 hours ending 8.30am Saturday, bringing relief from humid conditions and keeping temperatures in check.According to the IMD, the maximum temperature settled at 33.9°C, normal for the season, while the minimum was recorded at 24.2°C, two degrees below normal.The city recorded maximum relative humidity of 95% and minimum humidity of 63%. Since the onset of the southwest monsoon, Chandigarh has received 206.6 mm of rainfall, which is 14.7% below the seasonal average.The IMD has forecast generally cloudy skies with thunderstorms and rain over the next five days. The maximum temperature is expected to remain between 35°C and 36°C, while the minimum is likely to hover around 25°C-26°C.
