Hyderabad: Two women who were standing near a bus stop at Satamrai in Shamshabad were killed in a road accident after being hit by a speeding transport vehicle on Thursday.According to the RGI Airport police, the victims, identified as 55-year-old Suma and 66-year-old C Suvarna, died on the spot. Both were residents of Rajiv Gruhakalpa in Satamrai.Police said the accident occurred when the women were waiting near the bus stop to cross the road. A transport vehicle driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle while attempting to overtake another car and rammed into the women.The victims worked at a local function hall. The accident took place while they were returning home after their work.The vehicle, which was loaded with chillies, was reportedly coming from the Shamshabad vegetable market. Police have registered a criminal case against the driver, identified as VL Jaisan, a resident of Karnataka, on charges of causing death by negligence.
