Rajkot: The carcass of a lioness was found on the banks of the Shetrunji river in Gariyadhar taluka of Bhavnagar district on Thursday. According to the forest department, the lioness, between five and nine years old, was found stuck in bushes after the river water receded.Govindsinh Sarvaiya, deputy conservator of forests, Botad, said, “Prima facie, it appears that the lioness drowned due to the heavy rain over the past few days. No injury marks were found on the body.”
