STEM pgm at Shalimar Bagh school sets ‘benchmark for future-ready learning’

New Delhi: Chief minister Rekha Gupta Thursday launched a STEM education and school transformation programme at Shalimar Bagh Village Govt Girls’ Senior Secondary School, calling it a “benchmark for future-ready learning”.The school has been equipped with STEM and computer laboratories, smart classrooms and upgraded sanitation facilities. Student awareness sessions on menstrual hygiene, nutrition, cyber safety, financial literacy and reproductive health are part of the programme too. Teachers will also be trained in digital and interactive teaching methods.Speaking at the launch, Gupta said, “With smart classrooms, a computer lab, a STEM lab and an AI-enabled toilet block for our daughters, this school is now setting a benchmark for future-ready learning. A state can truly progress only when the govt and society work together.” The initiative comes in collaboration with Honeywell Technologies and is implemented in partnership with Ladli Foundation Trust.
