Rolls Out Cashless Medical Cover For TeachersVaranasi: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday said that India can be powerful when the foundation of children is strong and it is the responsibility of every citizen to ensure that no child is deprived of education.Launching schemes for students and teachers of govt schools at DDU Trade Facilitation Centre, Yogi said, “Children are innocent and showing the right path to them is the national duty of teachers.”The CM said that Nipun Bharat Abhiyan brought qualitative improvement in the level of children’s education and the campaign would help children become proficient in their respective fields.On this occasion, the CM launched Mukhyamantri Shikshak Cashless Chikitsa Yojana, providing health security to 12 lakh teachers, non-teaching employees, and their dependents. He also transferred Rs 1,320 crore to the bank accounts of parents of 1.1 crore students (Rs 1,200 per student) for uniforms, shoes, socks, sweaters, school bags, and stationery.“The school environment should appear clean, beautiful, disciplined, and filled with spiritual radiance. You take care of children, and the govt will take care of you. Every child should attend school. This is the responsibility of citizens, teachers, shiksha mitras, and instructors,” he said.“The launch of the scheme from the cultural capital of India and the land of spiritual tradition will take it to greater heights. At least 12 lakh teachers, cooks and other personnel will benefit from cashless medical scheme,” Yogi said.“In association with the State Bank of India, a facility has been started to provide insurance cover to teachers. Teachers should focus on children, and the school environment should be clean and beautiful, as it shapes the future of the country,” Yogi said.“It must be remembered that the vision of Viksit Bharat is possible only through education. The National Education Policy has been implemented with this objective,” he said.The CM also urged other govt departments and the private sector to provide social security guarantees to their employees.“Uttar Pradesh always had potential. At one time, teachers from Uttar Pradesh served in many states, including Arunachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan. But there also came a time when some people destroyed Uttar Pradesh’s education system for their personal interests,” he said.Yogi said that Uttar Pradesh was a BIMARU state under the previous govts, and it was the hard work of the double-engine govt over the past nine years that made Uttar Pradesh one of the leading states of the country.“Investment made in education never goes waste. Today, an environment of cheating-free education has been established in the state. We will not allow anyone to play with the future of the youth. We must not give anyone the freedom to play with the future of the country,” he said.The CM said that under Project Alankar, the govt provided adequate funds for strengthening secondary schools, which strengthened the basic infrastructure in schools.
