Hyderabad: A 49-year-old labourer, D Srinivas, died after he was allegedly hit by a speeding two-wheeler while crossing the road near the entrance arch of Peddatupra village in Shamshabad on Sunday night.According to Shamshabad police, Srinivas had attended a family dinner in the village and was returning home when the accident occurred at around 10.05 pm. As he was crossing the road near the village arch, a two-wheeler, allegedly being ridden at high speed and in a rash and negligent manner, hit him, throwing him onto the road. He sustained severe head, abdominal and leg injuries.His family members initially shifted him to LIMS Hospital in Shamshabad. He was later referred to Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad, where doctors declared him dead at 1.34 am on Monday.Based on a complaint lodged by his wife, D Padma, police identified the rider as Banuri Vijay alias Sambha, 28, a private employee from Muchinthal village. A case has been registered against him, and further investigation is underway.
