New Delhi: With the University of Delhi’s undergraduate admissions entering the crucial preference-filling stage, several colleges have started counselling and outreach initiatives to guide aspirants through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) process and help them make informed choices before seat allotment.Many colleges have opened their campuses to prospective students and parents through dedicated guidance programmes.Miranda House has scheduled a three-day Open House from July 7 to 9, between 10 am and 1 pm, to assist Class XII girl students and their parents with various aspects of the admission process. The sessions will focus on preparing CSAS preference lists, understanding admissions under the Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) and sports quotas, exploring certificate courses and learning about hostel facilities.Faculty members and admission experts will also conduct interactive question-and-answer sessions to address individual concerns. The college has made advance online registration compulsory and will accommodate up to 500 participants each day.Officials said the initiative aims to ensure that aspiring students receive accurate guidance and are able to make well-informed decisions while filling their preferences.Hansraj College, meanwhile, has launched a two-day programme titled “Hansraj Campus Connect” to familiarise prospective students and their families with both the admission process and campus environment. The programme includes a free admission help desk where visitors can seek clarification on admission procedures and academic programmes, along with guided campus tours.Delhi University is scheduled to publish the first seat allocation list on July 16, while the new academic session is set to commence on July 28.
